This week the contractor completed storm sewer crossings and lowered a water main on IL 126, and installed temporary concrete barriers. Temporary lighting work continued near IL 59 and 143rd Street, and all structural steel parts for the bridge were delivered. Demolition of the CubeSmart building was completed.
Next week the contractor will begin pavement removal and excavation behind the barriers, with possible flagging for truck traffic. Water main work will begin near West Norman Drain on 143rd Street. The contractor will also begin bridge beam installation and demolition of a private residence. Work will also continue on stormwater storage areas and embankment near Fletcher Lake.
