This week, the contractor worked on drilling and pouring concrete for the bridge foundation. They also removed the temporary barrier from the east side of the DuPage River, continued adding rock to Fletcher Lake, and began building the retaining wall for the new roadway. Additionally, the contractor received storm sewer materials, took over maintenance of the lighting and traffic signals at IL 59, and started installing temporary lighting and signals at IL 59.
Next week, the contractor plans to continue placing rock fill in Fletcher Lake, installing the retaining wall, and working on temporary lighting and signals at IL 59. They will start building a temporary barrier on the west side of the DuPage River to keep water out while they work. Temporary pavement placement is scheduled to begin on IL 126 and Naperville Road, along with the start of median removals on IL 59.
