This week, the contractor completed installation of project’s roadway signage, pavement striping, and tested the traffic signals at 143rd Street and Ridge Road. On Wednesday (12/18), the traffic signals were permanently turned on and the 143rd Street West extension was officially opened to traffic. The Village hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the road opening.
The contractor will be shutting down for holidays, and no work is expected until after the new year. The contractor will begin electrical work for the 143rd Street street lighting in early January.
