What is the purpose of the 143rd St Corridor Improvements Project?
The 143rd St Corridor Improvements will increase East-West capacity within the Village, specifically near the Downtown area and help facilitate additional development opportunities west of Plainfield.
How long will construction take?
The Corridor improvements are broken into smaller individual projects. Construction of the West Extension will continue through Fall 2024. The East Extension is anticipated to be completed by the end of 2025. Additional projects are currently being developed for construction over the next 10 years, pending additional funding.

Who are the contractors for the project?
The general contractor for the West Extension is Austin Tyler Construction, Inc.
The general contractor for the East Extension is D Construction.
Homer Tree Service provided tree-clearing services for the East and West Extension projects.
How much is the project going to cost?
The entire Corridor is estimated to cost in excess of $100M for construction, engineering, and land acquisition.
