This week, the contractor constructed the concrete slab on the west side of the bridge approach, prepared the forms and installed steel reinforcement for the east side approach slab, leveled the ground beneath the east side of the bridge, placed additional pavement along Naperville Road, and prepared the stone base for the roadway on 143rd Street between IL 126 and Naperville Road.
Next week, the contractor is expected to pour the concrete for the east approach slab, continue work on the west approach slab, prepare the roadway base between IL 126 and 143rd Street, begin paving at IL 126, and resume underground utility work at the intersection of IL 59 and 143rd Street.
