Thanks to the incredible February weather, the contractor made great progress this past week with the water main installation along Ridge Rd. 3,000’ of 20” water main and boring water main was completed under Ridge Rd. Concurrently placed with the water main were 7 fire hydrants, 6 valve vaults, and stub outs for future subdivisions. Water main installation between Kendall County Highway 22 and the upcoming 143rd St./Johnson Rd. intersection should be completed by end of day, Monday, 3/4 (Weather Pending).
The contractor is continuing to make progress with the installation of the 18” sanitary sewer within the limits of the future 143rd Street extension between Ridge Road and Steiner Road. To date, approximately 50% of the sanitary sewer has been installed. The contractor will continue to work from east to west, upon removal of additional trees that are in conflict with the installation path.
